이어 모퉁이를 돌아 나타난 의사를 본 나는 저절로 입이 벌어졌다.
He was young, he was blond.... and he was handsomer than any movie star I'd ever seen.
젊은 그는 금발이었고, 내가 본 그 어떤 영화배우보다도 잘생긴 남자였다.
He was pale, though, and tired-looking, with circles under his eyes.
하지만, 그는 창백하고 지친 표정이었으며, 눈가에도 검게 드리워져 있었다.
From Charlie's description, this had to be Edward's father.
찰리의 설명대로라면, 이 분은 바로 에드워드의 아버지일 터였다.
"So, Miss Swan," Dr.Cullen said in a remarkably appealing voice, "how are you feeling?"
"스완 양, 좀 어때요?" 컬렌 박사가 놀랍도록 매력적인 목소리로 물었다.
"I'm fine," I said, for the last time, I hope.
"전 괜찮아요." 그렇게 대답하는 것이 마지막이기를 바라며, 내가 대꾸했다.
He walked to the lightboard on the wall over my head, and turned it on.
그는 내 머리 위쪽 벽에 걸리 형광판으로 걸어가 불을 켰다.
" Your X-rays look good, " he said, "Does you head hurt? Edward said you hit it pretty hard."
"엑스레이는 좋아 보이네요. 머리 아파요? 에드워드 말로는 머리를 꽤 세게 부딪혔다던데요."
"It's fine," I repeated with a sigh, throwing a quick scowl toward Edward.
"괜찮아요, " 나는 한숨을 쉬며 또 똑같은 대답을 한 뒤, 에드워드를 잠깐 흘겨보았다.
